DBMS Junior Regatta a Success

On Saturday July 25, and Sunday July 26, 2010, Duxbury Bay Maritime School hosted its annual junior regatta. The DBMS Junior Regatta provides a competitive opportunity for novices, experienced sailors, and every level in between. Over the course of the two days, eighty sailors sailed in twenty-five races for a taste of healthy competition on the high seas. Young sailors from eleven different yacht clubs and maritime programs, indeed some as far as Rochester, New York, came to participate in the event which in previous years has hailed top sailors from around New England. Junior Sailing - Meet the Instructors Night

DBMS Rowers Capture State Champ Title

Senior Captains Kyle Dame and Jonathan Frye capped off their high school rowing careers at DBMS the best way possible: by becoming Massachusetts State Champions. Along with their boat mates Davis Muller, Chris Scavongelli and coxswain Caroline Hickey, the Duxbury 1st Varsity 4+ beat out 12 other public school teams in Lowell on May 23 for the title.
